President-Elect
Position Description
|
The
President Elect is a full voting member of the
PAOS Board. Working closely with the current
President and Board on every endeavor, this position
ensures a smooth transition of leadership for
the organization.
In the absence of both the President and Vice President, the
President Elect shall assume the duties of the president. The
President Elect will succeed to the office of President at the
expiration of the President's term, or earlier if the office
becomes vacant for any reason.

a written bi-annual report, which will be
provided to the Board of Directors two weeks

edition of the PAOS News |

Serve
as advisor to assigned committees |
•

Attendance

and AAOS meeting is expected to support the

Attend
Leadership Summit and applicable AAPA regional

President
Position Description
|
The
President will have knowledge of PAOS's interests
and monitor the progress of goals and objectives
for PAOS and will coordinate the dissemination
of this information to members. The President and
Immediate Past President should serve as the primary
spokespersons (points of contact) for the organization
so that a consistent message is provided.
This officer should have the ability to conduct meetings, formulate
ideas, consummate plans, and delegate responsibility. In addition
the President is also responsible for upholding the organization's
policies and procedures. The President should be available to other
officers and members by phone and at meetings.

Secretary
Position Description
|
The
Secretary’s main responsibilities are to
ensure that all organization records are accurately
kept and regularly maintained, and to work with
PAOS's master and management staff to direct the
organization's membership listing. This position
is a two-year commitment.
Working with BOD to maintain records of the annual meetings as
well as conference calls for reasons of PAOS records and incorporation
and will provide an annual fiscal report to the Board and membership
at annual meetings.

them as a legal record. Submit written minutes

|

that all financial records are accurately kept
and regularly maintained, and work to direct the
organization's fiscal policy and money management.
This position is a two-year commitment.
This officer will present a budget proposal to the Board of Directors
to serve as a guide for making all financial decisions of the organization
and will provide an annual fiscal report to the Board and membership
at annual meetings.

at professional and social functions in a positive manner.

Director Position Description
|
The
Regional Directors is the primary liaison between
the PAOS Board of Directors and its regional constituents.
The Regional Directors take direction from the
President.
The Regional Directors will serve his/her assigned region by maintaining
contact with members via regular written and verbal correspondence.
In coordination with the BOD and the President, the Regional Directors
will organize regional meetings, oversee regional membership recruitment
and retention and establish regional contacts with other professional
organizations.
