Suites Chicago Downtown — Lakefront is located in the heart of downtown Chicago between
navy Pier and the prestigious shops of Michigan
Avenue — the Magnificent Mile. The full-service
upscale all-suite hotel is walking distance from
Water Tower Place, the Chicago Loop business district,
the Hancock Center, Northwestern Memorial Hospital,
the Sears Tower, the Chicago River, American Girl
Place, and the beaches of Lake Michigan, just to
name a few. The Art Institute of Chicago, The Shedd
Aquarium, Rush Street, Soldier Field Stadium, Wrigley
Field, the Lincoln Park Zoo are just a short taxi
ride away. Guests of the Embassy Suites Chicago
Downtown-Lakefront hotel stay in spacious two-room
suites and receive a complimentary cooked-to-order
breakfast and a nightly manager’s reception.

Cost of the room is not included with the registration/tuition

COURSE
OBJECTIVE: The Physician Assistants in Orthopaedic
Surgery has recognized the need for this lecture
series in orthopaedic topics. Our membership has
identified the need for concentrated and updated
topics in orthopaedics. Our program has grown in
attendance over the past few years and we expect
200 attendees this year. Our faculty has been in
the practice of orthopaedics for many years and will
furnish you with the knowledge necessary to manage
orthopaedic problems with confidence. Concentration
will be on historical data, physical exam findings,
interpretation of special tests and studies, and
the initiation of therapy. |

EDUCATIONAL
CREDIT: This program has been reviewed and is approved
for
a maximum of 25 hours of Clinical Category I CME
credit by the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Physician
assistants should claim only those hours actually
spent participating in the CME activity. This program
was
planned in accordance with AAPA’s CME Standard
for lecture-Learner Programs and for Commercial Support
of Lecture Learner Programs. PAOS is recognized by
the Board of Certification, Inc. to offer continuing
education for certified athletic trainers. |

The Second City – Improv
Comedy Theatre: “Since 1959, The
Second City has established itself as a Chicago
landmark and a national treasure.
The theatre that launched the careers of such comic
greats as John Belushi, Mike Myers, Bill Murray,
Gilda Radner, and more offers nightly comedy shows,
as well
as a variety of other programs and services.”
Show starts at 8pm (must be there 45 minutes prior
to show start)
Price: $35/person. Children must be 10 or older.
The
comedy show requires sign up prior to the week of
the conference.
The Hancock Observatory: The newly
renovated Hancock Observatory will meet your loftiest
expectations!
Experience spectacular views spanning up to 80 miles
and 4 states. Price: $8.50/ticket This is a discounted
rate. You may purchase you ticket through PAOS, and
use the
ticket at anytime during your stay in Chicago. Go
some night after the conference, or go during the
workshop block that you are not scheduled at. The
Hancock Observatory is walking distance from the
hotel (Embassy Suites). It’s about 0.7 miles. |

receive a full refund minus a $25 handling fee. Cancellations
after that date will incur a $75 handling fee.
