Physician Assistants in Orthopaedic Surgery (PAOS) is a specialty organization of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) for PAs who are NCCPA certified and practice in orthopaedics. We are composed of more than 1900 members who practice orthopaedics in collaboration with orthopaedic surgeons.

PAOS is dedicated to providing a common direction for PAs in orthopaedics. We provide high quality educational programs to advance our members knowledge of musculoskeletal healthcare. PAOS provides a forum for networking and information dissemination and job placement for PAs in orthopaedics. Our organization continually educates physicians and allied health professionals on PA education, certification and changing legislation, while promoting the physician/PA team concept.
